Berrings in 1922/23

Berrings was in the Parliamentary division of Mid-Cork and in the electoral division of Dripsey and in the rural district of Cork.

The area was served by the Cork & Muskerry Light Railway; the nearest railway station was at North Kilmurry where the stationmaster was Mr. Jeremiah Reen.

The Postmaster at Berrings was Mr. Patrick Reen and the curate was Rev. T. Kelleher. (The parish priest of the parish of Inniscarra being Rev. Canon E. Neville).

The schoolteachers were Mr. Daniel O’Driscoll and Mrs. O’Driscoll.

The principal centre of commerce was Berrings Co-Operative & Dairy Society Limited and the manager was Mr. Timothy Shine
